The Fourth Annual Latino Scholars Breakfast, held March 30, 2012 at the Robert Treat Hotel, Newark, NJ, was an outstanding success. The fine contributors and collaborators honored this year were Senator M. Teresa Ruiz, New Jersey Senate, Mr. Jose A. Ginarte, Esq. the law firm of Ginarte, O”™Dwyer, Gonzalez, Gallardo & Winograd LLP, Ms. Idida Rodriguez, President and CEO of IRODZ Associates, LLC, and Mr. Gonzalo E. Perez, Coordinator at the Gildart Haase School of Computer Sciences and Engineering at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
The morning began with classical renditions of music from Latin America beautifully played, and with impressive precision, by Hector Falcon and Fatima Aaziza, second violin and violinist with the New Jersey Symphony Orquestra. We were joined by many of our program supporters including Senator Nellie Pou, Assemblyman Albert Cotinho, Rolando Lavarro, Jersey City Council, Vince Giordano, Executive Director NJEA and many others, to celebrate our honorees and Latino Scholars who, this year, have graduated and/or are entering graduate school.
Each of our honorees was recognized for his/her years of supporting the Latino Scholars program, whenever called upon to do so, and for that we are GRATEFUL.
A very special Thank You to our event sponsors, Verizon, NJEA, PSE&G, and La Fe Food Products
