Parents, Teachers and Community Leaders at 14th Annual Latino Education Conference: A TOTAL Success!

The 14th Annual Latino Education Conference was held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Robert Treat Hotel in Newark, New Jersey.

 

This conference is one of the largest indoor events of its kind in the United States and it is always planned to empower parents with the tools they need to assist their children in the education process. Over 600 parents, students, and school personnel representing nineteen (19) school districts attended.

The full program included keynote presentations, exhibitors, educational workshops, and cultural and folkloric presentations

Parent-Teacher conferences in New Jersey

Dr. Charles Mitchel, Associate Dean, Seton Hall University, presented a resounding and inspirational speech that was welcomed by the parents in attendance.

The luncheon featured the annual ‘Nuestros Niños” Award presentation. This year’s awardees included Margarita Muñiz of the Newark Public Schools, and Rosa Pagnillo-López of PSE&G.

Parents, teachers, and college students participated free of costs.

The 15th Annual Conference will be held in April, 2019.
